OPEN MAY thru OCTOBER
A comfortable, yet rustic cabin with a screened porch? Then you're our kind of person. That's exactly what we offer. Yet there is so much to do you'll have to choose between quiet and relaxing or sporting and active for your next vacation. If you can't choose, you can combine the two.
There is so much to do here that you may find it difficult to do it all! The great outdoors is just outside your door. Your cabin will be on or near a quiet brook. Hikers and mountain bikers like the fact that we are near the Franconia Notch State Park in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains. Families like the attractions, like Clark's Trading Post and The Whale's Tale Water Park, with it's giant slides and "get wet" theme amusements. Mom likes the outlet shopping in nearby North Conway and Dad likes that the prices are up to 60% off.
This area of the country is very special, unspoiled, fresh and clean. Many visitors come for weeks at a time for a special retreat, a chance to renew beside such marvels as the Franconia Falls (featured picture). The air is still pure and humidity is almost never a problem in the White Mountain region of New Hampshire. The woods abound with wild game and the Lincoln area is a photographer's delight. Be sure to bring your camera and don't miss the scenic Kancamagus Highway with its many overlooks that capture much of the Presidential mountain range. Hikers, climbers, mountain bikers, and people who enjoy discovering the great outdoors will find countless activities that make vacationing in the White Mountains special.
Mount Washington is the Northeast's highest mountain at 6,288 feet above sea level. Hike it if you can, but if you do, plan to rest the next day. Mount Washington also features an auto road (can your car make it to the top?) built over 100 years ago. Guided motor stage coach tours are available at the entrance, if you desire. If mountain climbing is not your cup of tea, here is a list of other things to do in the area.
New Hampshire's White Mountains offer so much, so close...
The Flume, The Cascade Water Falls, The Cog Railway, Clark's Trading Post, The Hobo Railroad, The Old Man of the Mountain, Story Land Children's Theme Park in nearby Glen, NH, The Tramway at Cannon Mountain, Santa's Village in nearby Jefferson, NH, The Lost River Gorge in Kinsman Notch, Loon Mountain, outlet shopping in nearby North Conway, NH, Mount Washington and the Mt. Washington Auto Road (can your car make it to the top?), The Whale's Tale (get wet)Amusement Park, Bretton Woods Summer Park and, in winter, the Bretton Woods Ski Resort...much more than we can say here.
